You spoke – we listened! After review and feedback from the public and regional partners, the Regional Safety Action Plan is making its way toward adoption. Next stop? The Transportation Policy Board will review comments and proposed edits to the draft plan at its April meeting. The Executive Board will review and finalize the plan at its April meeting. PSRC has a position open for Director of Administrative Services in the Administrative Services Department. As the Director of Administrative Services, you will report to the Executive Director and lead a small team of HR, IT, and policy professionals, and collaborate with the agency’s financial, budget, and purchasing staff. PSRC is encouraging people to comment on King County’s SR 520 Portage Bay Bridge Trolley Infrastructure Replacement project. The public comment period will run from March 6 to 27. PSRC's Executive Board is scheduled to approve this project on March 27, 2025. The Seattle and Bellevue 2030 Districts are hosting a free webinar on Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in buildings on Wednesday March 12th, 2025 at 1:00PM. The event covers the dangers of PCBs, their health and environmental impacts, and safe removal practices. Attendees are eligible to receive USGBC and AIA continuing education credits. On Thursday, PSRC’s Executive Board heard from federal consultants on recent federal funding directives and other congressional legislative efforts. PSRC also welcomed Secretary Julie Meredith to her new role at WSDOT! Meredith has been instrumental in the Puget Sound region's most complex, high profile transportation projects.
