Honoring Strength, Resilience, and Progress on International Women's Day March 8th, we celebrate the extraordinary contributions of women around the world—past, present, and future. International Women's Day is more than just a day of recognition; it's a call to action to uplift, empower, and advocate for equity in every space. Women are innovators, caregivers, leaders, and trailblazers. They are the backbone of communities, the visionaries shaping industries, and the hearts that nurture change. Yet, despite incredible progress, challenges remain. True celebration comes not just in words but in continued efforts to create inclusive opportunities, amplify women's voices, and support one another in tangible ways. To all the women making an impact—whether in boardrooms, classrooms, homes, or communities—your work matters. Your strength is inspiring. And your dreams are worth every pursuit. Let’s continue striving for a world where every woman, regardless of background or circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive. Today, and every day, we celebrate you! #InternationalWomensDay #WomenWhoInspire #EquityForAll#bea trailblazer

SOUND’s People Operations team had a fantastic time at Careers in Healthcare Day at Seattle Center! We engaged with high school students from across Washington state, exploring what a career in behavioral health could look like. Through hands-on activities, we introduced techniques for managing anxiety and other mental health challenges, sparking meaningful conversations about the importance of mental wellness. It was inspiring to see so many future healthcare professionals eager to learn and make a difference in their communities. ?? As Ramadan begins, millions around the world will observe a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. For many Muslim employees, this means balancing work responsibilities while fasting from dawn to sunset, engaging in spiritual practices, and adjusting their routines. At Sound Behavioral Health, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace for all employees. Recognizing the significance of Ramadan, we strive to create an environment that respects and accommodates those who observe. Here’s how we support our team during this time: ? Flexible Scheduling – We encourage open conversations about scheduling adjustments to support fasting and prayer needs. ? Respect for Break and Prayer Times – Employees have access to quiet spaces for reflection and prayer. ? Mindful Planning – We strive to schedule meetings and events with consideration for energy levels and fasting hours. ? Education and Awareness – We foster a culture of learning and inclusion, encouraging discussions about Ramadan and how we can support our colleagues. ? Individualized Support – We understand that everyone observes differently and work to ensure accommodations are tailored to individual needs. At Sound, inclusion isn’t just a policy—it’s a commitment to ensuring every team member feels valued, respected, and supported in all aspects of their identity. Wishing a peaceful and blessed Ramadan to all who observe! #Ramadan #WorkplaceInclusion #SoundBehavioralHealth #DiversityAndInclusion #SupportingEmployees

Susan Szafir, SOUND’s Director of Community Engagement & Partnerships, had a fantastic time at coffee with Kim, an open house hosted by Kim Sarnecki, Executive Director of the Together Center. This event was a great opportunity to connect and learn more about how the Together Center is transforming access to care by bringing nonprofits together under one roof alongside 280 affordable housing units. Gratitude to Sound Behavioral Health Supervisor, Katherine Mancini for the warm welcome and insightful tour of Sound’s on-site office. We’re proud to be part of a community that’s breaking down barriers and making critical services more accessible! #InnovativeSolutions #BreakingBarriers #TogetherCenter #CommunityFirst #SOUNDBehavioralHealth

At Sound Behavioral Health’s Capitol Hill campus in Seattle, art surrounds you. Around every corner, in offices, dining areas, and walkways, color and creativity bloom. Art is a powerful mental health tool, and each client here is offered their own personal art kit to use as they please. Senior Clinic Manager Sarah Durham says the kits are greeted with smiles and often disbelief. She says many clients have never before been offered such a gift. She can’t recall anyone turning one down. It’s inspiring to see how such a simple and beautiful gesture can generate such joyful energy throughout a community. #arttherapy #mentalhealth #behavioralhealth #communityhealth #soundhealth

SOUND Behavioral Health was honored to partner with Intiman Theatre for a powerful post-show conversation following Crave on Saturday, February 22. The play explores deep and challenging themes—suicide, sexual assault, abuse, and addiction—sparking an important dialogue about trauma and healing. A special thank you to our Clinical Training Manager, John-Paul Sharpe, for leading the discussion on how trauma impacts individuals and what happens when essential needs go unmet. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, reflect, and engage in these vital conversations. #CommunityMatters #TheaterForChange #MentalHealthAwareness #SOUNDBehavioralHealth
