?This just happened... and we couldn’t be prouder. ? We shipped not one, but five machines—each one a milestone, a team effort, and a testament to what happens when talented, dedicated people come together. Excitement. Pride. Accomplishment. All the feels. Check out those smiles—they say it all. It’s been a journey (and yes, it comes in a very big box). But more than the machines, it’s the people behind them that make it special. In a world that’s always pushing toward the next thing, it’s important to pause and celebrate the wins. So here’s to progress, to teamwork, and to the joy of building things that matter. What’s something your team has done recently that made you beam with pride? #Teamwork #EngineeringExcellence #Innovation #WeBuiltThis #ProudMoment #CelebrateTheWins

This past month, I had one of the greatest honors of my professional life and as a dad. Nohtal Partansky and I were asked to speak to the Cal Poly Sales Engineering Club. The club members are intelligent and driven young women and men putting in extra work to hone their business and interpersonal skills. The kicker is that my son, Owen Arreguy, is the club president. Yes, that may have had something to do with the invite, but I don't care. I'll take it! ? The club members were courteous and engaged and asked great questions. I came away from the evening believing that our future is in good hands if these young adults have anything to say about it…and they do. My only regret is that the hour went by too fast! ? A big thanks to Nohtal for taking time out of his hectic schedule to do me and Owen a solid. The students will never forget the guy who put robots on Mars, opened (and closed) a plant-based burger pop-up, and is now revolutionizing the cannabis industry. ? A big thanks to the Cal Poly SEC crew for their hospitality and interest in my professional journey. You made this old guy feel he has done a few things the right way and has a bit of knowledge to pass on. I look forward to seeing you all again. ? Finally, a big thanks to Owen. I appreciate you believing your dad had something worthwhile to offer the club and trusting I would not embarrass you! ?? To say I am proud of you is a massive understatement. #payitforward #dotherighthing #behumble

In a world that glorifies hustle culture, it’s easy to think success is measured by long hours and non-stop grind. But the reality? Burnout isn’t a badge of honor. The most successful people and businesses thrive not just because they work hard—but because they rest, recharge, and make time for life outside of work. ?? Why Work-Life Balance Matters: ? More Productivity – Rested minds make better decisions, drive innovation, and work more efficiently. ? Better Health – Chronic stress leads to burnout, anxiety, and even physical illness. Prioritizing downtime improves mental and physical well-being. ? Stronger Teams – Companies that respect personal time have higher employee satisfaction, retention, and engagement. ? Creativity & Problem-Solving – The best ideas don’t come from staring at a screen 24/7—they come when you step away, get inspired, and recharge. At Sorting Robotics, we believe in working hard AND playing hard. We push boundaries in automation and cannabis tech, but we also know that happy, well-balanced people build the best innovations. That’s why we’ve stacked our break room with everything our team needs to unwind and recharge—whether it’s a quick game of chess, table tennis, or DDR, vibing with music on the speakers, or grabbing snacks and drinks to fuel the next big idea. Because great work happens when people feel great. ?? How do you maintain your work-life balance? Drop your thoughts below! ????

Texas Lawmakers Push for Cannabis Reform – What It Means for the Industry Texas is making moves in cannabis legislation, and it’s a mixed bag for the industry. Lawmakers have introduced nearly 20 bills addressing everything from recreational legalization to THC bans, showing just how divided the landscape is. ?? Key Takeaways: -Recreational Use? Maybe. HB 1208 and 2975 proposes legalizing cannabis for adults 21+, allowing up to 2.5 ounces on them or in their vehicle and up to 10 ounces kept at home in a locked container. -Medical Expansion? Looking Likely. Bills like HB 2972 could expand access for conditions like menstrual cramps and chronic pain. -THC Product Ban? A Major Threat. SB 3 aims to ban consumable THC products, a move that could shake up dispensaries and manufacturers across Texas. Public Opinion is Shifting. While 62% of Texans support recreational cannabis, more than half also back a THC ban, highlighting the regulatory challenges ahead. At Sorting Robotics, we’re always watching legislative changes because policy impacts production. If automation is the future of cannabis, where does Texas fit in? ?? Read more about the latest cannabis legislation here: https://lnkd.in/gBpNGAS4 ?? What do you think? Will Texas embrace cannabis reform or crack down on THC? Drop your thoughts in the comments! ??
