Sophinea was excited to attend the AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days 2024 last week, which took place at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center from May 13th to 15th. This year's theme was Digital Modernization, Unified Operations, and Data Dominance through Agile Acquisition, aligning with Sophinea's core competencies in Data Analytics, AI, and Cyber Security. Several keynotes and breakout sessions from government and industry leaders addressed the military's significant information technology challenges during these turbulent times. Major General Jacqueline McPhail summarized it best in addressing these challenges when she referenced Gunny Highway (played by Clint Eastwood) in the movie "Heartbreak Ridge" about the need to encourage a mindset that is comfortable with uncertainty, think critically, and adapt to any difficult situations to say ahead of our adversaries. Gunny Highway: "You're Marines now, You adapt, You overcome. You improvise."
