I gave up my single life that I thought I would enjoy forever.. 4 years ago I became someone's wife.
Time flies.
We did so many fun things and serious things together including 10 rental houses, 5 multifamily deals and a wonderful son!!
You might see a lot of happy moments with the whole family on my Facebook but it was not like that just a few years ago.
I came to the US all by myself with no relatives or connections.
In my 30s, I got divorced, and after many years and many relationships fail, I was jaded, I didn't want a boyfriend or a husband anymore.
I had episodes of depression where I am not sure on the reason for me to exist. ??
My conclusion was there's no strong reasons why I should exist... that's why people need a family and that's the real reason behind having kids.
I was looking at sperm banks and was planning on having a kid all by myself. Well, actually with the support of my best friend!
And then I met my husband now. He made me feel like I can be myself 100% of the time, when we were on a date and I was just exhausted I just can fall asleep next to him comfortably...
3 big things I learned after marriage and kids:
?? Commitment to build a family of my own healed me. ??
My relationship with my own blood family was not the best since I spent 20+ years living in another country away from them.
Having my own family actually made me appreciate my blood family way more. And healing the relationships with my own blood family actually healed me!
?? Sometimes, I forgot how exciting and wonderful life is.
Raising a child and seeing things through his lenses made me remember.
?? I finally understand how much my parents love me and realized that love is the reason why I exist.
There's a Vietnamese saying: "N??c m?t ch?y xu?i" which means love usually goes one way like a waterfall pass down from parents to children. When we have kids, we realized we can die for our children but can't never do as much for our parents as they did for us. So we're extra - extra grateful for our parents!! ??
Sasha Tsimbler Thank you for being you and being my husband! Your love heals me and makes me stronger every single day!
I love you so much!
