Throughout February, #SonyPicsEmployees came together with our Black Employees (BE) Business Resource Group to celebrate U.S. Black History Month.? ? In addition to a happy hour and game night, the BE team partnered with employee groups WAVE (Women and Allies of Action, Vision and Empowerment), Voz, and Hue (Helping Unite Everyone) for a special screening of TriStar Pictures’ hit comedy One of Them Days, a Storytellers workshop series, and delicious food trucks, all spotlighting the creativity and talents of the Black community.? ? Celebrations also included a BE Inspired speaker series with leaders from across our businesses, including Towalame Austin (EVP, Global Philanthropy, Social Impact & Environment, Sony Music), Bernard Williams Jr. (Assistant General Counsel, Ethics & Legal Compliance, Sony Pictures), Rashidi Jones (VP, Motion Picture Finance, Sony Pictures), Rebecca Agbe-Davies (VP, U.S. Distribution, Sony Pictures Television), Tori Carter (Executive Director, Social Marketing, Sony Pictures Television), and Ashanti Ishakarah (Director, Brand Partnerships & Licensing, Game Shows).?

In honor of #InternationalWomensDay last week, our EMEA-based Employee Business Resource Group AGENDA (Advocates for Gender Equality, Neutrality, Development & Action) and other Sony sister groups hosted a One Sony International Women’s Day intersectional leadership event discussing the theme “Accelerate Action.” Taking place at the Sony Music London office and livestreamed in our offices globally, the event featured an executive panel and a networking session to encourage connections and community building.?

One Sony is taking action for a cleaner planet! Sony and Sony Pictures Television’s Hong Kong offices teamed up for a beach clean-up at Bayside Beach in support of the global One Blue Ocean project promoting sustainability.
