Founded in 1941, Sonwil Distribution Center is a family owned third party logistics company. Sonwil provides storage, handling, distribution, value added services, refurbishment, and reverse logistics solutions. With a long history in Western New York, Sonwil services regional, national, and international clients from its local facilities as well as satellite warehouses located in Covington, GA, Arlington, TX, and Reno, NV. Sonwil sets the gold standard regionally and nationally for near plant warehousing of food products, ingredients and packaging. Sonwil operates premium properties and has invested heavily in technology for warehouse management. Staff are trained and certified in all aspects of the business and the company has special expertise in sanitation and the management of food grade facilities. Sonwil, through its subsidiaries Sonwil Logistics and Innovative Transportation Solutions, operates the biggest asset-based trucking company in Western New York. Innovation and industry leadership have long been a focus of Sonwil. Champions of EDI movement, Sonwil was among the industry leaders who first developed systems and methods to electronically transmit orders and inventory data between manufacturers, warehouses and shippers. This commitment to innovation continued for many years through investments in our proprietary warehouse management system, which affords many benefits to our clientele. Sonwil believes the future of the industry is in automation and higher density warehousing. Accordingly, Sonwil has again meaningfully invested in leading the industry with its “Four Square” building located in Buffalo, NY which will showcase cutting edge technology. Though only rarely, clients leave over price. Those that do eventually return for the cleanliness of our warehouses, the accuracy of our systems and the professionalism of our associates.

Team Cleo and I were proud to host a wonderful gathering for Cleo customers, including Todd Florence, CIO, Estes Express Lines … Alyse Lisk, CIO TOTE Group, Darren Maynard, Principal, DPM Consulting,?Peter Wilson, Chairman and CEO, Sonwil Distribution Center … and John Cardot, CTO, Sonwil Distribution.?? ?   • It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Christine Pitt to Director, Account Management. Christine joined the Sonwil family in November 2020 as an Account Manager, and made her way into the Account Management Group Manager role in 2023. This promotion is in recognition to her accomplishments this past year as Account Management Group Manager. Christine has diligently worked to build relationships with each of our operations, and has worked with her team to ensure we provide the highest level of service to our customers.
