Kraus-Anderson has a new office in Phoenix, Arizona which is a great reason to celebrate National Arizona Day! When asked about her favorite healthcare project, Jaki Scott, Director of Operations - Sonoran Crest Construction, a Division of Kraus-Anderson Construction Company, said the following. “A notable project that stands out is Hushabye Nursery! We partnered with LaunchPM and orcutt I winslow to transform a vacant 7,805 SF first-floor level of a 2-story stand-alone building in the heart of Phoenix for Hushabye Nursery, an Arizona non-profit organization who provides a therapeutic and short-term medical care and recovery environment to infants suffering from Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and their families. The project included structural re-work to accommodate the first-floor patient care area, inclusive of 12 private infant rooms, 3 consult rooms, caregiver station, and supportive areas throughout. Along with new layout and all new finishes, new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical were provided, in addition to fire and life-safety measures. Exterior improvements and asphalt paving completed what used to be a disparaging building into a fresh, purpose-filled healthcare haven. Many of our project partners linked arms with our team in donating labor and materials to this project and this incredible organization providing care, hope, and healing to the Arizona community.
