Over 477 million people have a disabling hearing loss worldwide and lack the ability to communicate with the world around them.? We're on a mission to change that and we need your help. ?? Supporting Veterans' Hearing Health at Zanesville VA Clinic in Ohio! We’re thrilled to share our incredible experience at the Zanesville VA Clinic! Over the past year, our Hearoes Tour has hosted nearly 50 events at VA clinics across the country! ???? Our work focuses on filling the gaps in audiology services for outlying clinics, ensuring veterans have access to the hearing health services they deserve. Many veterans don’t fully understand their hearing health or the benefits available through the VA, and we’re here to bridge that gap. Our outreach has been incredibly well received by both VA staff and veterans, and we’re proud to partner with Cochlear and thankful for their faithful support and commitment to helping us make a difference in the lives of veterans, especially in rural “audiology desert” regions. Sponsorships, grants and donations allow us to offer free hearing screenings, care team guidance, and follow-up campaigns tailored specifically to each veteran's responses and screening results. Together, we’re raising awareness and creating real change in veterans’ lives by helping them reconnect through better hearing! ???? Next week, we’ll continue our work through Central Ohio serving the VA, YMCA Seniors and spreading awareness at The Ohio State Football game next Saturday, Sept 21st at the OSU vs Marshall game! A mild hearing loss can cause a child to miss up to 40% of classroom instruction. It's like listening under water. Our hearing health tour has given thousands of children access to free hearing screenings and guidance to families.
