关于我们
Song for Charlie is a family-run nonprofit charity dedicated to raising awareness about ‘fentapills’ — fake pills made of fentanyl. We partner with experts, educators, parents and other influencers to reach the most vulnerable group: young people between the ages 13-24. Our programs highlight the emerging dangers of self-medication and casual drug use in the fentanyl era and encourage healthier strategies for coping with stress.

Thank you to Lisa Schroeder, Mother's Bistro executive chef and owner, for hosting our "Meet Song for Charlie" event in Portland on Thursday. It was a powerful night discussing the impact fentanyl is having on Oregon's youth and Song for Charlie's partnership with Trillium Community Health Plan to launch the New Drug Talk Oregon Program. Community leaders, included Portland Mayor-elect Keith Williams, Portland Police Bureau Chief Bob Day, and incoming Oregon AG Dan Rayfield, shared their interest in protecting Oregon families against fentanyl and discussed how we can work together to educate our community.

Nearly 100 supporters, donors, and families impacted by the fentanyl crisis gathered at our recent partner appreciation events in Connecticut and New York City. In New York, SFC consultant Marcia Lee Taylor, as well as our partners Jennifer Stout from Snap and Jon Coyles from Major League Baseball, shared kind words about the work we’re doing together. Other notable attendees include Dr. Hina Talib, and drug policy expert Kevin Sabet. These gatherings sparked important conversations about end-of-year giving, corporate partnerships, and sustainable support for our mission. We were especially moved to reconnect with supporters who first joined us at a similar New York event two years ago—a testament to the lasting connections our mission continues to build. Special thanks to our hosts, Susan and Bill Lattimer, for making these events possible and so meaningful.
