Women's History Month beckons us to pause and reflect - as a female founder, I find myself consumed by a fervent desire—an urge not just to celebrate but to cling to the stories of the incredible women who've paved paths, shattered ceilings, and whispered courage into the night. Every three seconds, someone is diagnosed with dementia, with women bearing the brunt of the wave. Women hold two-thirds of this diagnosis, a stark reminder that our memories—our stories—are in peril. Imagine stories as seeds. Each narrative from our mothers, grandmothers, and the figures who've walked before us holds the potential for growth, understanding, and identity. These seeds, once planted, extend their roots deep into the fabric of who we are, connecting us to past wisdom and grounding us in a sense of belonging. As they grow, they bloom into a garden where each petal, each leaf, encapsulates feelings of identity, strength, and community. Yet, here is our challenge: to capture, preserve, and share these intergenerational narratives before they slip through our fingers. It's a race against time, a battle against forgetfulness, a fight to keep the garden of our heritage vibrant and alive. SOMMOS enters the scene as more than a platform; it is a garden where these seeds can be sown, tended, and cherished. We can transform the fear of losing our matriarchs' wisdom into action—so that every story told becomes a root that strengthens the bond between generations, and every memory shared blossoms into a deeper sense of self. This #womenhistorymonth, let's commit to more than just recognition. Let us dedicate ourselves to preservation. Engage with the women in your life. Listen to their stories. Encourage them to share their journeys, their challenges, their triumphs. And then, let's bring these stories to SOMMOS, where they can be preserved, not just as memories, but as living, breathing testaments to the resilience, grace and ingenuity of women. If we believe stories of our women are the seeds of our future, we must nurture them, water them, and watch as they bloom into a legacy of strength, identity, and belonging for generations to come. ?? #WomensHistoryMonth #PreserveOurStories #Sommos #LegacyOfWomen #IntergenerationalWisdom

This week culminated 12 weeks in Cohort 10 of Conscious Venture Lab, in which I participated for my startup, SOMMOS. If you heard me pitch, you would know the mission of SOMMOS is deeply personal to me and I’m quite proud of myself for taking an idea and bringing it to the point that I was able to pitch it on stage in front of an audience of about 200 people. There’s still a far way to go, but I’m building stamina and resilience to weather what may come. I also know I’m doing it for a higher purpose and staying true to that calling will be propel me forward.
