Somewear Labs is looking forward to #T_REX25 with OUSD R&E (Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering), where we will demonstrate how our SDN bridges existing Tactical Data Links (TDLs) with a cost-effective, deployable system, perfect for attritable UAS and partner forces – improving situational awareness across all echelons. We'll integrate with Distributed Spectrum's c-UAS sensors and Silvus Technologies's StreamCaster radios automating the flow of data across multiple LOS and BLOS networks, ensuring data flows even in contested environments, without relying on vulnerable fixed infrastructure. Our team recently supported a customer in Arizona to push the boundaries of situational awareness during jump operations. We equipped jumpers with Somewear Node, leveraging its multi-network capabilities to track every move, from the moment they exit the plane to the moment they land. The combination of mesh networking and satellite connectivity ensured reliable data transmission even in challenging, beyond-line-of-sight environments. Our low-power network delivered point-to-point mesh range greater than 10km, empowering the jump team to make informed decisions in flight and enabled the command center to maintain accountability for every jumper.
