Shout out to the leadership of Senator Tan Parker, who introduced Senate Bill 1105 (SB 1105), a groundbreaking legislative move to catapult Texas to the forefront of advanced nuclear energy development. This is a statement to the world: Texas is not waiting for Washington to figure out nuclear. Texas is building it—NOW. _________________________________________________ SB 1105 establishes the following: ?? 1. The Texas Advanced Nuclear Energy Authority A state-led entity that will fast-track the deployment of next-generation nuclear reactors, ensuring clean, reliable, and abundant energy for generations to come instead of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. ?? 2. The Texas Nuclear Permitting Office Will streamline regulatory red tape, accelerating approvals, and making Texas the most attractive place in America to build advanced nuclear projects. ? 3. The Texas Advanced Nuclear Innovation Fund – dedicated pool of funding for R&D and commercialization of cutting-edge nuclear technologies, ensuring Texas isn’t just adopting nuclear but leading its industrialization.
