We're excited to share this outstanding lecture, through the @Seattle-Science-Foundation, on the role of neurosurgery in global cerebrovascular health, delivered by our partner, Robert Dempsey, Chair of the @uwmadison Neurosurgery department. In his presentation, Dr. Dempsey highlights the significant impact of the neurosurgery residency training program in Bolivia and Paraguay, which our Neurosurgery and Neurology Institute (NNI) is coordinating with the University of Wisconsin. Our Oncologic Surgery Mission Trip is underway in Santa Cruz, Bolivia! ?? The team started the week visiting one of their patients from last year, Sergio, who invited the team to lunch with his family. Sergio received a life-saving surgery in 2024 to remove a giant retroperitoneal tumor. He is doing much better now compared to the delicate condition the team found him in before surgery last year. He will receive another surgery later this week to remove a small new tumor, but he is expected to do very well. ?? Please keep Sergio and our other patients in your prayers as the team begins surgeries??

Our Oncological Surgery Medical Mission team is departing for Santa Cruz, Bolivia, tomorrow! Please wish them well and keep them in your prayers ?? as they and the local Bolivian medical team treat 20 patients next week for cancers including gallbladder, liver, thyroid, gastric, and others.
