We’ve successfully completed the last of 4 different post-driven ground mounts in Holt, MI using a series of First Solar modules, amounting an impressive 160 kW of clean, green energy! From the ground up, these solar arrays in their entirety were made from 100% USA steel and domestic materials. Our post-driven ground mounts are designed for efficiency and durability, with a fixed tilt range of 0°-40° to optimize solar panel exposure. Purlins are adjustable to the North and South with universal module brackets that slide East or West, clamping to the purlin and the edge of the panel for a safe and secure fit with First Solar panels and any other solar module on the market. The teams at Solar Mounts LLC and Solar Construction LLC went above and beyond for this 239 kW solar carport in Massachusetts. Although there was one row of parking spaces to cover, our engineers elected to go with two-sided T-Frame trusses, doubling the room for panels and further expanding the useable space beneath the structure. From there our crews were tasked with excavating at the foot of a natural retaining wall. Through experience and knowledge from previous jobsites, they were able to get foundations poured and racking assembled without damaging the surrounding terrain. This combined effort from start to finish was a true testament to our solar experts and their perseverance in the face of adversity.
