关于我们
Solar Cannabis Co. is America’s first energy-independent cannabis cultivation and retail facility based in Somerset, MA. Solar is the state’s premier adult-use marijuana supplier. Unlike any cannabis manufacturing facility in the country, Solar’s production architecture is centered around the facility’s innovative design that utilizes green infrastructure and microgrid assets to lower its overall carbon emissions. These green concepts enable Solar to produce sustainable cannabis both by lowering its overall energy profile as well as by generating all of its own clean power.

November 6th 2012 12 years ago today the State of Massachusetts made history by voting to legalize cannabis for adult use, a decision that has reshaped the state's economy, culture, and cannabis industry. As we reflect on the 12 years since that landmark decision, it's clear how far we've come, and how much we've yet to achieve. The legalization of cannabis was more than just a political victory -- it marked the beginning of a new era for Massachusetts. It paved the way for thousands of jobs, stimulated local economies and fostered a community dedicated to responsible consumption and education. The last 12 years have been a testament to the power of progress, and as we look to the future, the best is yet to come.

As the 2024 election approaches, cannabis is once again emerging as a key talking point for many candidates across the political spectrum. With public opinion steadily shifting in favor of legalization, particularly for medicinal use, the conversation around cannabis continues to evolve. While some candidates advocate for full federal legalization ,others focus on regulation, research, or maintaining state-level control. Cannabis legislation has grown in importance, not just as a policy issue but also as a reflection of broader views on social justice, healthcare, and economic opportunity. For many voters, especially in states where cannabis is already legal, candidates' stances on the subject may influence their decision at the polls. Regardless of individual perspectives, cannabis is likely to be a recurring theme in debates, down halls, and campaign speeches. As the election nears, it will be interesting to see how candidates navigate this evolving issue, making cannabis a critical talking point for voters to consider as they head too the polls.

The cannabis industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years, driven by changing regulations and evolving consumer preferences. As legalization spreads across states and countries, the way people engage with cannabis is shifting, and data offers key insights into these emerging trends. One of the most significant developments is the rise of wellness-focused cannabis products. Consumers are increasingly looking for items that offer more than just a high—products like CBD-infused tinctures, topicals, and edibles that promote relaxation, pain relief, and better sleep are in demand. The trend toward wellness aligns with a broader societal move towards natural and holistic remedies, as people seek alternatives to traditional pharmaceuticals. Another noticeable trend is the preference for convenience and discretion. Data shows a growing interest in vape pens, edibles, and beverages over traditional flower. These products offer a discreet way to consume cannabis, appealing to both new users and those who prefer not to smoke. Companies like Wyld have capitalized on this trend, offering a range of cannabis-infused gummies tailored to wellness and active lifestyles. Similarly, dosist is known for its vape pens designed to deliver precise doses of THC or CBD, catering to consumers who prioritize control and ease of use. Lastly, data reveals a shift in consumer demographics. Cannabis is no longer the domain of a single age group or lifestyle; it's attracting diverse groups of people, from wellness-seeking millennials to older adults managing chronic conditions. This broadening demographic presents both opportunities and challenges for brands looking to cater to a more varied audience. As the industry continues to mature, understanding and adapting to these consumer trends will be crucial for cannabis businesses aiming to thrive in a competitive market. The data not only reflects current consumer preferences but also hints at where the future of cannabis consumption is headed.
