Another major power outage has left 90% of Puerto Rico without electricity. This is why energy resilience is critical. At Solar Village Project, we’re establishing 20 resiliency centers across the island to provide reliable, life-saving energy during emergencies. These centers will serve as safe havens, offering power, essential resources, and stability to vulnerable communities. Resilience isn’t just about power—it’s about empowering communities to thrive. Together, we can create a brighter, more secure future for Puerto Rico. 关于我们
We are an NGO dedicated to bringing sustainable solutions to those in need in remote areas around the world. Founded in 2014, Solar Village Project is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to ending energy poverty and reversing the negative impacts of climate change in the developing world. Our mission is to provide clean, renewable and reliable energy for all people, beginning with those who can least afford it. We provide: Solar lights and lanterns that are affordable — even for the most impoverished families and individuals in rural villages; Solar power systems that provide long-term reliable energy onsite, thereby limiting negative impacts from natural disasters and an unstable grid.

Empowering Women in Solar: Building Skills, Breaking Barriers Women make up just 11% of the workforce in India's rooftop solar sector—a figure that needs to change! With the potential to create over 3 million jobs by 2030, the solar industry presents a unique opportunity to close the gender gap and provide women with a path to financial independence. That’s why, at the Solar Village Project, we're launching a dedicated initiative to train 50 women in solar installation and maintenance in 2025. Through our program, these women will gain the technical skills needed for a career in solar energy, becoming inspiring leaders and role models in their communities. Our Mission: Provide hands-on training in solar technology and maintenance. Create opportunities for steady income and economic growth. Break barriers in a male-dominated industry. By empowering women, we are not just creating jobs; we are building confidence, fostering leadership, and opening pathways to success. If you believe in building a more inclusive, sustainable future, join us in supporting this mission! #WomenInSolar #RenewableEnergy #GenderEquality #SolarEnergy #Sustainability #WomenEmpowerment #SolarVillageProject ?? https://lnkd.in/d2VmxTj
