We’re thrilled to announce the completion of three #rooftopsolar systems at RED HOOK CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, made possible through a $1.7M investment by NYPA. These systems have a combined capacity of 600 kilowatts and will generate over 630 megawatt-hours of #energy annually, supplying more than 30% of the district's #electricity. ? This initiative supports #NewYork's goal of achieving 70% #renewableenergy by 2030 and transitioning to a carbon-free grid by 2040. Additionally, the district stands to gain nearly $80,000 in utility credits each year while reducing #greenhousegasemissions by approximately 80 metric tons—equivalent to removing nearly 9,000 gallons of gasoline from the road. ? Led by Director of DER Advisory Benjamin M. Cuozzo, our Distributed Energy Resources (DER) team played a crucial role in managing these projects.
