For more than 40 years, SCS has been in the business of providing complete publishing, digital asset management, and advertising systems for small, mid-sized, large metros and groups. SCS's software is used at more than 300 physical locations every day, producing over 2,000 publications in 12 countries around the world. With the Community Advertising System, SCS delivers a solution that allows today’s community newspapers to put all the pieces together. This is a complete managed service advertising and production solution, for one low monthly price. SCS individual modules are installed at many newspapers interfaced with systems from other vendors and they are integral to many of the centralized design centers for large newspaper groups. SCS also resells and supports FotoWare Digital Asset Management solutions featuring scalability, convenience & automation. These solutions have been designed to handle large volumes of information and images and varied workflow structures.

On October 10th, our own Kurt Jackson, Phil Curtolo, Martin MacDonald, and Winter Goodman had the pleasure of attending the Bucks County Herald Foundation's "Happy to Be Here" event at the beautiful Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The event celebrated the Herald's commitment to giving back to the community through free, trusted journalism that helps our communities connect and democracy thrive. The foundation handed out its 2024 Excellence in Journalism Award to Claire Smith, a native of Bucks County who became the first woman to be a beat writer covering Major League Baseball (MLB) for daily newspapers, specifically The Philadelphia Inquirer and The New York Times. The Bucks County Herald is a model for community reporting and community fundraising. To say the people of Bucks County love their "Herald" is an understatement. SCS is proud to have had them as a customer since 2014. Last week, our own Kurt Jackson and Phil Curtolo attended Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association (PNA)'s 100th Anniversary Gala at the Hershey Country Club South. The event reflected on the impact of their members and leaders within local communities and commemorated the resilience within an industry marked by transformation. The event included the induction of 100 members to the PNA Hall of Fame to celebrate the positive impact these members make through personal, professional and financial contributions. Congratulations to PNA on 100 years and to all of the inductees!
