Throughout February, Softcat's Pride Network has been celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month. ????? This year's theme was 'Activism & Social Change', an opportunity to explore the contribution of LGBTQ+ individuals in history and spotlight activists. What did Softcat's Pride Network get up to? ?? Co-hosted 'Past, Present and Future: Advancing LGBTQIA+ Inclusion in Tech' event alongside Exertis UK and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. During this event we learnt from experts, attended workshops and had the chance to network with peers. ? Brett Johnstone and Anya Devon-Berry attended National Student Pride's careers fair, where they met potential future employees and answered questions about a career at Softcat. A huge shoutout to the Pride Network for supporting this initiative! ??

Last week, a team from Softcat's Manchester office spent a day volunteering at Wythenshawe’s St Luke’s Church. ? The day aimed to help with the transformation of an unusable and overgrown old playground. The team assisted with completely clearing the area, planting seeds and making seed balls for scattering. ?? The goal is to turn the area into a sensory space and playground, as well as create an orchard, which will contribute towards the demand of the community food bank that runs out of the church.
