Last week, the first full week after election results that, frankly, felt like a slap in the face to myself and many other women, I got so much unsolicited love from within The Society of Working Moms community. ?? It's absolutely buoying me right now. I've told the women who shared as much, and, with their permission, I'm sharing some of their thoughts here. None of it is testimonial directly in response to said election, but I think it DOES speak to the importance of having a community where you feel heard and seen. Building a community of care around yourself is more important than ever. So... if you're a working mom looking for a "virtual village," come as you are and check us out! #WorkingMom #ItTakesAVillage #CommunityOfCare

Let me tell you—if you’re feeling stuck in the grind, you need to read this: ?? Joy isn’t just a feeling we stumble upon—it’s a practice, a choice, and a commitment to noticing the small moments that bring light into our lives. In a fast-paced world, creating joy can feel like a radical act. In my latest "Coaching Convos" session today, inside The Society of Working Moms we dove deep into what joy means and how to bring it into our daily lives, even when things feel overwhelming. Together, we explored some meaningful practices: ? Define Joy for Yourself – What does joy mean to you right now? Joy shifts with life’s chapters; sometimes defining it brings clarity to seek it more intentionally. ?? 3-3-3 Joy Practice – A simple yet powerful way to close out each day: name three joyful moments, three things you’re grateful for, and three things you’re looking forward to tomorrow. ?????? Nature, Connection, and Spontaneity—Whether through observing nature, connecting with others, or planning a spontaneous “joy day” with family, small moments of presence and wonder lift our spirits and strengthen our resilience. These practices remind us that joy is always there—waiting to be noticed, created, and shared. What’s one small way you’ll welcome more joy into your day? #WellBeing #Joy #WorkingMom #PersonalGrowth #Business #EmpoweredWomen

I was late to the game in realizing how impactful online communities are as an entrepreneur but I didn't realize what I was truly missing out on until I learned about groups like The Society of Working Moms. Working motherhood, however you define it, is dealing with competing forces and interests- no one has it nailed down. Finding community, like the one Kate Westlund Tovsen has created, helps normalize these experiences, gives an outlet or resource to handle the ups and downs of the journey and to acknowledge the massive lift that is working motherhood. Grab today's episode where you get your podcasts and don't forget to rate and leave a review to help us spread the word! #workingmotherhood #podcast #andbothpodcast
