As the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, it also recognizes the three-decade strong partnership with SHPE that has resulted in successful programming and advocacy for women and girls in STEM fields. This year's San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering, hosted by Generation STEAM at Petco Park, attracted San Diegans of all ages for a full day of STEM excitement. Over 21,500 attendees flocked to the event to partake in hours of immersive learning covering an array of science and engineering topics. SDSU's SHPE chapter hosted a hands-on STEM experience with marshmallows and pasta!
