I had the privilege of attending New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists, Society of Cosmetic Chemists HQ, Society of Cosmetic Chemists HQ, Long Island SCC, NESCC, and CTSCC's Hit the Slopes 2025, where industry professionals, formulators, and chemists gathered for a weekend filled with engaging activities and meaningful connections. The trip included a private tour of Killington, where we explored the historic downtown and connected with colleagues before heading into the educational session led by AAK Personal Care team on thermally stable formulations. The discussions highlighted key challenges in product development, sparking meaningful conversations about innovation in our industry. Of course, no trip to Killington would be complete without getting on the mountain. We took the Gondola Lift to the peak before wrapping up the day with tubing on the slopes, which was easily a trip highlight. It’s experiences like these that remind me how valuable community is in cosmetic science. The best ideas don’t just happen in a lab, they happen in conversations, shared experiences, and moments like this.
