While this approach can expedite project timelines, it also poses risks such as disputes arising from rushed schedules, incomplete design details, and coordination challenges. Experts from various backgrounds in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry will share case studies of fast track projects that led to informal disagreements or legal claims, analyzing each project's facts based on their experiences. Key discussion points include communication, risk allocation, and planning. Panelists will explore questions such as whether the design status was clearly communicated from the outset and how parties planned accordingly, if there were early warning signs and how they were addressed, and whether disputes could have been avoided. The discussion will also consider the potential role of technology and AI-assisted project management tools in mitigating and avoiding risks in future projects.
