The SBE Junior Scholars Network connects PhDs, postdocs, and other junior faculty who are interested in researching topics of business ethics. It is open for all non-tenured scholars and especially provides an opportunity to get and stay in touch with each other and SBE. Depending on the needs and interests of the network, special events such as a ‘meet the editor’, ‘meet the author’, or a ‘paper development workshop‘ are held virtually. Best Dissertation Award - Society for Business Ethics Submissions due 1 May, 2025 The Society for Business Ethics is soliciting abstracts for #dissertations completed between May 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025, to be considered for SBE’s Best Dissertation Award 2025. While dissertations must focus on #businessethics, work from any academic discipline is welcome. The purpose of the award is to recognize the dissertation that, in the judgment of the committee, most clearly demonstrates the potential to contribute to substantial advances in business ethics research and practice. Recent winners of the award have focused on topics such as strategic questions around CSR, the normative implications of monetary systems, and entrepreneurship among women in Afghanistan. Those wishing to be considered for the award should submit an abstract up to 10 pages in length. From among the abstracts, three finalists will be selected and asked to submit full-length dissertations. The award winner will be announced at SBE's Annual Meeting in July. A complete submission will include these 3 separate attachments, all in PDF format without any identifying information in the source file: 1?? An abstract of not more than 10 double-spaced pages of text (including references, tables, figures, and appendices), standard margins throughout, Times New Roman 12-point or similar font. The author’s name, the advisor’s name, and the university’s name should not be mentioned anywhere in the abstract. 2?? A copy of the signature page, with university name, signatures, and date of completion, or similar official evidence of the date of completion of the dissertation. 3?? A title page with the author’s current mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address. The title page must be sent as a separate file from the abstract. Please note that the committee welcomes a variety of research approaches, including, for example, #normative/ #philosophical and #socialscience/ #empirical (both qualitative and #quantitative). The Society for Business Ethics is committed to addressing ethical issues in business, upholding integrity, and promoting principled practices. We do not accept sponsorship from corporations. While this policy reflects our values, it also constrains our financial capacity to sustain and grow impactful programs. We are seeking academic centers and non-profit organizations to sponsor our 2025 Annual Meeting at Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark, from July 24–27, 2025. Your support is essential to advancing the society's mission and ensuring the success of this global gathering. Learn more here how your sponsorship can make a difference: https://lnkd.in/gSZ4i9DX
