I recently came across this post on Anthropologists and Immigration Policy, and it truly surprised me. Having completed my Master’s in Anthropology, I hadn’t fully realized how deeply anthropology intersects with immigration policy. Now, with my Master’s in Public Policy this connection feels even more exciting! It is fascinating to see how ethnographic research, cultural analysis, and advocacy can directly shape policy at multiple levels. This makes me wonder how can anthropologists engage more actively in real world policymaking.
