A special part of SVP Denver’s Collective Impact Fund is that grant decisions are made by a Community Review Committee. Our Committee is composed of impact-driven individuals across many professional fields. We are grateful for the perspectives and passion they bring to the table. Below is a testimony from Enid Carlson. Enid took great time and intention to work with her peer reviewers and the larger committee to select wonderful organizations to table at our Impact Showcase and to receive small grants. Thank you Enid! Read below and register to meet the amazing organizations our Committee selected! Register: https://lnkd.in/gSVMguPa..

We’re proud to be in our third year working with Paul Collier to deliver our Theory of Change program! Dozens of organizations have participated, developing a clear and compelling message of who they serve, why, and what impact they aim to achieve. One story that stood out recently: a participant from a previous cohort shared that their experience was so transformative, they’re in the process of painting their Theory of Change graphic on their office wall! It’s a powerful reminder of the lasting impact that clear vision and strategy can have on an organization’s work and mission. Has your organization participated in the past? Share a reflection in the comments! Thank you to our Fall ‘24 participating organizations Soul 2 Soul Sisters, NAMI Colorado, Rocky Mountain Prosperity Project, Culinarians Helping Entrepreneurial Folks (CHEF), Colorado Developmental Disabilities Council, Domino Service Dogs, COLORADO BLACK ARTS MOVEMENT, YANAM2M, Denver Urban Debate League, and Jefferson County Food Policy Council and to our coaches Teja Gorantla, Russ Williams, CFA, Kimberly Marie Bonner, Amy Warner, Kathy Workman, and Allie Reitz! ?? At SVP Denver, one of our core missions is creating direct, meaningful connections between social mission organizations and funders. ?? For nonprofits, donor retention is the top indicator of long-term success, yet many organizations and funders struggle to build and maintain these relationships on their own. That's where we step in. Through our community-driven events like Solution Sessions and the Impact Showcase, we bring funders, social mission leaders, and other key community members together to collaborate, problem-solve, and build lasting partnerships. These spaces are designed to foster direct connections, helping to close the gap between funders and the organizations working on the front lines of social impact. We believe that when funders and social mission organizations truly connect, the result is amplified impact that benefits our entire community. ?? Join us at our Impact Showcase on November 7th from 5-7:30pm and the Posner Center for International Development: https://lnkd.in/gSVMguPa..

We are having an incredible experience with our first-ever Board Engagement Cohort, facilitated by Eloise Casdorph and offered in partnership with the RTL Foundation. This program is specifically designed for members of the BIPOC Nonprofit Development Center (BNDC), and what makes it truly unique is the in-person, direct-to-members format. BNDC is redefining traditional nonprofit support by bringing resources directly to the community and changing the narrative around funding and services. It’s been an honor to work alongside such brilliant nonprofit leaders who are committed to elevating their board engagement practices and driving lasting change within their organizations. We’re looking forward to seeing the long-term impact of this program! Thank you MiDian Z. Shofner, Maya Wheeler, Jessica M. Newton, Shalelia Dillard, Sarah Alarcon, AAMS, and Bridget S. for participating and Tara Bruckert Alderfer, Justin George, Tricia Allen, and Kelly Holmes for being our coaches!
