Michelle Quinn, SOC Senior Advisor, recently moderated the She Speaks: Eagle Online Academy Students Forum. Natalie Gonnella-Platts, Director of Global Policy with the George W. Bush Presidential Center, and Aisha Salim, Eagle Online Academy Scholar, gave their remarks before the students presented their findings and recommendations from across Afghanistan. Michelle shares, "The courage, passion, and continued resolve of girls in Afghanistan to learn is a good news story of which we can all be proud. These young women were born and raised up surrounded by the protections, hopes, opportunities, and democratic values of the United States and its Allies. They have not and will not forget what we taught them. We gave them hope. A Day & Zimmermann team member since 2021, Arlene Hernandez supports our Government Services business as a Contracts Administrator. She coordinates with the business' program and operations teams on existing projects as well as the business development team in its pursuit of new opportunities. She is also responsible for coordinating the business' pursuit of new international business registrations and security licenses, in addition to ensuring that existing licenses, including domestic security licenses, are maintained in an active status. Arlene originally joined D&Z as a Defense Base Act (DBA) Specialist supporting SOC LLC. In that role, she brought over 18 years of insurance experience to the case management of all DBA claims for employee injuries that occurred overseas at various U.S. Government contract and task order locations. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Mercy College and enjoys traveling, writing and spending time with family. #WeDoWhatWeSay #EmployeeSpotlight #Legal
