We're working on organizing resume and interviewing workshops, as well as networking events, open to everyone. If you have ideas for other programming that would be of benefit to the community, send us an email. Furthermore, remember that this community has a broad reach across various companies, divisions, and time zones. If you're looking for connections at specific companies, people to run mock interviews with, or you want to bounce ideas off the community, please utilize the Soapbox Women Facebook Group. If a position opens up at your company, please post about it on the Facebook Group to spread the word. Let's use this hardship to grow stronger and more supportive as a community. In honor of International Women’s Day this past weekend, I want to shine a spotlight on the power of women supporting women. Being a new member of the amazing Soapbox Women group has been such a rewarding experience already. Last week, I attended my first event, their Mentorship Happy Hour event, and it was truly inspiring. ?? Soapbox Women is a remarkable community dedicated to empowering women in the entertainment marketing industry. Through mentorship, networking, and opportunities for professional growth, they’ve built a platform where collaboration and success thrive. Connecting with such talented and driven women, hearing their stories, and feeling the energy of this incredible group left me feeling motivated and grateful to be part of something so special. In the words of Soapbox founder Jen Weg,? Soapbox Women was born in 2013 out of a need for guidance from the women around me who so clearly seemed to have it all figured out.??Why was there not a place/network already in place for us to connect???I wrote an email to every woman I had ever worked with explaining how desperate I was for us to connect more and why. I needed help. I needed mentorship. Could one of these women relate to what I’m going through and if so, guide me through it? I hoped so. Could we all come together and build a network and see what happens when powerful women unite?
