Today our Executive Director Jamie Hamilton and SNS Board Members Susie Collat and Fred Masci attended Special Education Day at the Capital. It was a great opportunity to share the SNS story with members of the House and Senate, and discuss how legislation like the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship and Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit make an impact on the amazing young people at SNS. A special thank you to Representative Scott Hilton, a special needs father himself, for taking the time to give us a tour of the House and to learn more about Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett!

We are excited to recognize Ms. Sandra as our SNS Employee of the Quarter! She serves as a Paraprofessional in our High School C classroom and has taken a leadership role in scheduling our Before and After Care services. She was recognized by her peers for working hard to bring the best out of her students, being willing to help her fellow team members however possible, and doing an amazing job managing a classroom full of high school boys!
