Earlier this fall, POWDR announced the sale of four of its major ski resorts to diversify its asset portfolio. Since then, a local group of investors has bought Killington and Pico, VT, the largest ski resort on the East Coast, while another group of locals in Bend, OR, is attempting to put together a bid for Mt. Bachelor. Now, Nederland, CO, has expressed interest in the idea of purchasing the nearby ski area of Eldora, in a wave of local interest to reclaim what were previously corporately consolidated ski areas.
