Did you catch Snowbasin in the Super Bowl yesterday? Our No Name trail made it in Bank of Utah's commercial produced by Doxey Street!
Yesterday was fun for Eagles fans + Doxey Street fans + Bank of Utah fans. When we shot “The Journey” for Bank of Utah over a year ago, we did not plan for it to get airtime (locally in Utah) on Super Bowl Sunday. Which made watching the spot we produced run a few minutes before Kendrick Lamar hit the stage last night a very unexpected first for our team. We’re excited and proud that this short story with an authentic, local backdrop (featuring Snowbasin Resort and Alpine Sports) got a spot on advertising’s big day. We guess the (very abbreviated) moral of the story is: treat every project like the Super Bowl… because one day it just might be. I'm proud to share that Snowbasin is ranked No. 1 in SKI Magazine's 2025 Reader Resort Rankings - widely considered the most comprehensive and credible measure of ski resorts in North America. This recognition represents an amazing five-year journey for our brand. When I joined Snowbasin in 2019, we faced an interesting challenge - we had strong market penetration among our local communities, yet in Salt Lake City just 45 minutes away, we were still relatively unknown. We were considered a "hidden gem" or "best kept secret" in Utah skiing. By repositioning our brand, launching strategic partnerships and maintaining a relentless focus on experience management, we've evolved that perception: 2021: No. 30 2022: No. 8 2023: No. 14 2024: No. 2 2025: No. 1 My goal from Day 1 has always been to elevate Snowbasin from a community brand, to statewide, to regional, to national, and ultimately global. This recognition is a satisfying milestone as we strive for that journey. Our initial weakness as a geographic outlier North of SLC was repositioned into a strength and a key element of our identity. We leaned into what makes us special and saw disruptive growth as we continue to gain share in the competitive Utah ski market, and now several states. I’m grateful to our talented team who firmly believes we are the top ski resort and delivers that world-class experience every day.
