Celebrate Earth Day with the Port of Everett by giving back to your waterfront! You’re invited to join us at the Port of Everett’s 31st annual Marina & Jetty Island Cleanup Day on April 19 from 9 a.m. – noon to help keep the Everett waterfront a clean and enjoyable place to visit. Whether volunteering solo, with a group of friends, or as part of a larger organization, everyone is welcome to attend. Children are welcome to volunteer as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Last year 115+ volunteers picked up 960 pounds of litter across nearly 100 acres of waterfront and the Port’s 2-mile-long Jetty Island. Volunteers will meet at the Fishermen’s Tribute Plaza (across from Bluewater Organic Distilling) beginning at 9 a.m. - Limited transportation to and from Jetty Island will be provided by the Port and Everett Community College’s Ocean Research College Academy on a first-come, first-served basis for those interested in heading out to this Puget Sound gem. - Snacks and supplies like gloves, trash bags, and litter pickers will be provided for volunteers. - While signing up is not required, it does help us plan.
