We are honored to spotlight Rodney Rochon, a retired Lieutenant from the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office and a dedicated member of Behind the Badge Foundation's Line of Duty Death Response Team (LoDDRT). With over 32 years in law enforcement, Rodney has devoted himself to ensuring that fallen officers are honored with dignity and that their families receive unwavering support. Rodney’s connection to Behind the Badge Foundation began through his service in the Honor Guard, which led to his roles as a Family Escort and, ultimately, to his work in the LoDDRT’s Operations Section. Since around 2000, he has played a vital role in planning and executing memorial services, leveraging his expertise in traffic, marine, and air operations to ensure seamless motorcades and special accommodations. His dedication is deeply personal. Rodney believes every fallen officer and their family deserve a service marked by honor, respect, and the highest level of professionalism. He continues to serve because, in his words, “It is the right and proper thing to do.” Beyond his service, Rodney enjoys officiating baseball and softball, traveling in his RV with his wife and two dogs, and boating—both recreationally and as a nationwide emergency response instructor for law enforcement, fire, and military personnel. He also remains active in shooting sports competitions. Join us in recognizing Rodney Rochon for his steadfast commitment. His compassion, expertise, and dedication ensure that every fallen officer is honored with the utmost respect, and every family receives the support they deserve. #BtBF #LoDDRT #Honor #Service #Community
