Sniffen & Spellman, P.A. is excited to announce that Amy D. Envall has joined the Firm. Ms. Envall focuses her practice on education law, concentrating on legal matters impacting K-12 public education institutions, including operational aspects, contracts, policy development, exceptional student education, civil rights, tort defense, labor and employment, transportation, discrimination, discipline, and bullying and harassment. Ms. Envall represents educational institutions before the United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, the Florida Department of Education, and the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, and in state and federal trial and appellate courts. ? Prior to joining Sniffen & Spellman, Ms. Envall was as the General Counsel for The School Board of Orange County, Florida, and The School Board of Brevard County, Florida.?She also served as an attorney and the Ethics Compliance Officer for Orange County Public Schools, General Counsel for the Clerk of Courts, Assistant County Attorney, Trial Court Staff Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and Assistant Dean for Academic Programs and Faculty Development at Barry University School of Law.?Prior to earning her J.D., Ms. Envall received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and served as a fourth-grade teacher.? ? She is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Middle District of Florida, and all Florida state courts.?Ms. Envall is the Vice President for the Florida School Board Attorneys Association.?In her spare time, she serves on the Board of Directors for some local non-profit organizations, travels, and is a member of the Osceola Community Orchestra.?She and her husband, a sworn law enforcement officer, are the proud parents of two children, a dog, and two cats. #sniffenandspellman #tallahassee #westpalmbeach #pensacola #educationlaw

Last week the Tallahassee Senior Center honored its volunteers at a luncheon sponsored by Capital Health Plan. Michael Spellman was honored for being a volunteer for 25 years with the Senior Center, devoting his time to legal services and special events.

What a great day participating in Meenan P.A.'s Annual Cornhole for Cancer fundraising event, doing our part to help raise over $10,000 for the TMH Foundation which supports those fighting cancer and their families. Our Tournament championship team was led by our own Matthew Carson and Christen Petruzzelli. We send good wishes to everyone in the path of #HurricaneHelene.
