It’s not Deja Vu! We have done it again. Our team at Jaguar Land Rover Frisco and Dallas has partnered with Dubiski Career High School to provide an internship program in a Career and Technology Education (CTE) field of study for automotive students. As we enter the second year of this integration, we remain impressed with the automotive program that Grand Prairie ISD offers and are excited to continue supporting these students on their career paths. Dubiski H.S., a GPISD public high school of choice, focuses on equipping students with skills for 21st-century professions. In addition to earning their high school diploma, students can complete programs that provide advanced certifications, industry training, and valuable internship experiences. With fourteen programs of study arranged into fifteen academies, Dubiski's offerings align with the U.S. Department of Labor Career Clusters, including Automotive Technology. Welcome to the team! Last year we had 3 Dubiski Interns, this year - we went for 6 in addition to our current 3 Seniors. Walk around Wednesdays… ? I am sure this is done every day, but today looked like a lot more fun. ? We loved seeing the dynamic and conversations being had during the walkaround process. To see two departments come together to make a unified decision on the next steps for a vehicle cycle was pretty cool. ? The process proved to be effective in aligning both departments' expectations with the true market values.
