Local small businesses are critical to the success of our community. That's why, each year, SMUD awards between $200-$300 million in contracts with $40-$60 million going to SEED vendors and suppliers. We’re aiming to direct 20% or more of all eligible contracts to SEED vendors. Today, local vendors attended our Meet the Buyers event to connect with our purchasing team, explore upcoming opportunities and network with others. We also held workshops, shared information about SMUD programs and rebates and insights into our 2030 Clean Energy Vision and its benefits for businesses and communities. A special thank you to SMUD’s Board President Rosanna Herber SMUD's Chief Diversity Officer Jose Bodipo Memba and everyone who joined us today! Interested in becoming a SMUD SEED vendor?
