We're so pleased the renovated Hamilton Collections Gallery at The Franklin Institute delighted The Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Peter Dobrin. It’s a very apt explanation of the look and feel of the renovated gallery. The Hamilton Collections Gallery still features the much loved Baldwin locomotive, but now reveals more of TFI's collections, not to mention how its artifacts are preserved and interpreted with a newly introduced view into staff curatorial areas on the lower level of the gallery. Tomorrow, Nov. 20, the AIA Silicon Valley Chapter’s COTE Committee is hosting a tour of the new Sunnyvale City Hall, led by SmithGroup’s Elisa Jue, AIA and Todd Kohli, PLA, ASLA. For those in Northern California, this is a fantastic opportunity to see this project in person and go behind the ropes. After all commissioning and data tracking is complete, Sunnyvale City Hall will be the first LEED Platinum certified and Net Zero Energy city hall in the country, meaning it will generate as much energy as it uses. In operation since 2023, Sunnyvale City Hall serves as an active gathering place for the community, improves access to city services and serves as a model for civic sustainability.
