Exciting news from California State University, Fresno - the university recently celebrated the completion of its brand-new Central Utility Plant—a major step toward sustainability and efficiency. This state-of-the-art facility is set to deliver impressive benefits, including a 73% reduction in natural gas consumption and 7 million gallons of water saved annually creating a more environmentally friendly way to heat and cool the campus. This incredible transformation was made possible through collaboration: ACCO Engineered Systems completing the #mechanical scope, Smith MEP completing the #electrical scope, and Sunbelt Controls completing the #BuildingControls scope. After an incredible 45-year career, we celebrate the retirement of Mike Brannon (photo-left), Estimating Manager and one of the original owners and founders of Smith MEP. Mike's journey began at fourteen, following in his father’s footsteps, and grew into a legacy of family, leadership, and community impact. From building Smith MEP into a thriving business to mentoring the next generation in the trades, Mike’s dedication has left an indelible mark. We thank Mike for his remarkable contributions and wish him a fulfilling retirement filled with new adventures. Congratulations, Mike, on your retirement!
