Our August 2024 Furniture Insights? highlights a mixed bag of trends in the furniture industry. Despite seeing declines in new orders and shipments compared to last year, consumer confidence showed a slight uptick in August, and existing-home sales broke a four-month decline. Join us in welcoming back four former interns to the Smith Leonard team! Christopher Allen completed a dual internship with us in the Summer of 2023 and returns as a Tax Associate after graduating from Liberty University in May. Glendys S. Chontal joins us as a part-time CAS Associate after her Summer 2024 internship as she continues working towards her Bachelor's degree at UNCG. Josephine Danielle Pagala also just completed her Summer 2024 tax internship and now joins us as a Tax Associate. She graduated from UNCG in the spring with her Master's in Accounting. Taylor Hedrick was a Spring 2024 Audit intern and is now joining us as an Assurance Associate in the Hickory office. She graduated this past May from Lenoir Rhyne University. #weARESmithLeonard
