It’s been just two weeks since our groundbreaking, and we’re already seeing exciting progress at Zion Village! Zion Village, a $33.5M affordable senior housing community in Riverview, FL, will offer 75 high-quality one-bedroom apartments for seniors, with units available at 30%, 50%, 60%, and 70% AMI. Each apartment will feature premium finishes, Energy Star appliances, and in-unit laundry. The community will also include amazing amenities like a fitness center, library, movie room, and outdoor pavilion. Today, we're proud to announce the start of construction on Zion Village, a $33.5 million affordable senior housing community in Riverview, FL. Developed in partnership with Mt. Zion AME Church of Riverview, Adonai's Second Chances, Inc., and The Tampa Housing Authority, Zion Village will provide 75 high-quality, one-bedroom apartments for seniors, with units available to those earning 30%, 50%, 60%, and 70% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Zion Village will help address the need for affordable housing, particularly for the region's aging population. With seniors being the fastest-growing group experiencing homelessness in Hillsborough, Zion Village couldn’t come at a more crucial time. Senior Pastor Karen Jackson Sims highlighted this need, stating, "The fastest growing group of homeless individuals in Hillsborough County is our senior citizens, our elderly. And we should be, as a community, concerned about that because in their golden years, they should not have to worry about, 'Can I still afford to pay rent or to have some place to live?'"
