The High Range Detention Pond Project in the City of Rio Rancho, is almost complete. This project was designed by Smith Engineering Company and constructed by VITAL CONSULTING GROUP, LLC. It was funded by State of New Mexico Capital Outlay Funds and SSCAFCA Bond Funds. Construction of the High Range Detention Pond will protect downstream neighborhoods and roads from flooding and assist with removal of sediment from upstream during intense storm events. Upon completion, the pond will discharge stormwater through a storm drain structure to Arroyo Lomitas Negras. #sscafca #projectupdate #riorancho

Discover the unique strengths and collaborative spirit of our civil engineering teams improving infrastructure across New Mexico! Albuquerque currently has the largest number of employees. Roswell has general civil engineering as well as specializes in surveying and has a material testing lab. Las Cruces has a small team that collaborates frequently with other teams. Interestingly, the distance between Roswell and Albuquerque, Albuquerque and Las Cruces, and Las Cruces and Roswell is almost the same, about 200 miles. Some clients, like the City of Artesia and EMNRD (State Parks), have worked with staff from all our offices. Others are unique to specific locations. The City of Carlsbad, Xcel Energy, and Eddy County are primarily served by our Roswell teams. Conversely, ABCWUA and SSCAFCA are mainly served by our Albuquerque teams. Las Cruces currently serves clients such as the City of Alamogordo and NMDOT. Dona Ana County is a significant client that both the Albuquerque and Las Cruces offices work closely with as well as the Roswell Surveying Team.
