On Veteran’s Day, we had the privilege of honoring our incredible veterans. As a small token of their service to our country, Smith-Blair gave each veteran a shirt, coin, and letter. The coins represented branch of the military that they served. The letters of thanks were all written by students from a local public school. All our soldiers were honored. Smith-Blair is forever grateful for their service to our country. We wanted to say to them thank you for their service to our nation, sacrifice, bravery, and the example they set for all Americans. We are proud to have them as employees.

6K4 Water Event Last weekend, Smith-Blair had a beautiful day to walk in a local 6K4 Water Event that we participate in and sponsor every year.?The event raises money for Water Mission, which digs wells for third-world communities. The distance of the race is 6K or 3.73 miles because that is the average distance many women in Africa must walk to collect water for their families. ?Our company is involved in so many charity events.?This one is close to our corporate mission is that we aim to solve water issues. Many of our walkers placed in their age divisions.?We had fun and we were participating in Watermark as a big group.?It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Smith-Blair receives Triple Crown Award in sustainability!! Last week was a special week. Xylem leadership was onsite to celebrate Smith-Blair achieving the Xylem Triple Crown Award for sustainability. We were able to achieve our 2025 goals for three key target areas: 100% reuse of our process water, 0% waste to landfill of our process waste and 100% electricity from renewable sources. This is a huge accomplishment for Smith-Blair and a big step in showing our commitment and responsibility when it comes to sustainability. Big thank you to Xylem leadership for all of the support. We also celebrated our 50 year anniversary at this site in Texarkana (85 total years in business!!!). We recognized 4 employees with over 50 years of service, and one of those will hit 60 years this year!!! Couldn't achieve these milestones without our committed employees!!!

Smith-Blair recently hosted Breakfast with Santa. We had the best breakfast ever. We had many beautiful families and children visit Santa. They shared their wants and desires with Santa. Thank you for making our 2023 year of business a resounding success. We are so blessed and fortunate to have such great employees, vendors, and customers to help make it possible. We want to express our gratitude to all of you. Our facility will be closed for the Christmas holidays 12/22 and 12/25. We will be closed for New Year's Day on 01/01/2024. We would like to wish you and your family a " Merry Christmas" and a safe and Happy Holiday season.
