Today, our VP of Operations, Joseph Canas, and our Director of Administration, Jany Souvannarath, participated in a virtual meeting with the El Dorado County Oral Health Advisory Committee. The committee focuses on five key components: 1. Oral Health Education 2. Dental Disease Prevention 3. Access to Dental Care 4. Local Oral Health Data Collection 5. Outreach and Case Management Services Including building partnerships, training community organizations in oral health, conducting educational classes, implementing school-based and school-linked programs to overcome barriers to care, and supporting initiatives like expanding mobile dentistry. In August 2024, Smile Dental Services, Inc. (SDS) began scheduling regular mobile dentistry visits to El Dorado County to provide dental services through our mobile van. The SDS mobile van provides full-scope general dental services like cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Smile Dental Services, Inc. continues our commitment to provide necessary access to dental care for underserved communities across California.
