Our SME Chapter recently had the exclusive opportunity to tour ACL Airshop's impressive manufacturing facility in Greenville, South Carolina, and it's safe to say we were blown away! Led by Steve Townes, President, CEO, and a Director of Ranger Aerospace, the tour provided a fascinating glimpse into the world of aerospace manufacturing. ?? Townes, a seasoned entrepreneur in the aerospace services industry, guided us through ACL's ultra-modern facility. We were immediately struck by the massive proprietary machinery, use of space, and the emphasis on LEAN manufacturing principles. This investment clearly has paid dividends, resulting in increased productivity and material efficiencies solidifying ACL Airshop's position as a leading provider of air cargo nets and straps for the airline and trucking industry. ?? The tour also highlighted the company's commitment to innovation, showcasing proprietary matches, technology investments like Bluetooth ULD Tracking, new Operations Centers, sophisticated logistics software for ULD Control, and shop software for Repair Station efficiencies. All of this technology-driven innovation is propelling ACL Airshop to the forefront of the air cargo industry. ??
