??? New Episode Alert: "Why I Started SWAH" with Nafeez Amin Hello LinkedIn Family, I am thrilled to announce the release of Episode 10 of the Smart with a Heart? by Sherpa Prep? Podcast! In this episode, I had the privilege of speaking with Nafeez Amin, co-founder of Smart with a Heart and visionary leader in educational equity. About This Episode: Nafeez shares his journey to become a transformative figure in test preparation. His story is one of resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to democratizing access to education. We delve into the challenges and triumphs of founding Smart With a Heart, a nonprofit dedicated to leveling the playing field for under-resourced students aspiring to enter top graduate programs. Our Mission: At Smart With a Heart, we believe that access to quality education should not be a privilege but a universal opportunity. Our mission is to provide premium test preparation and admissions consulting services at little to no cost, ensuring that talented individuals from all backgrounds can achieve their educational dreams. Why This Matters: The GRE can be a powerful equalizer for lower-income individuals with competitive scores. However, the resource-intensive nature of test prep often leads to inequitable results. We aim to change that by offering intensive academic, moral, and emotional support through one-on-one mentoring and small-group study sessions. Get Involved: - Listen Now: Tune in to hear Nafeez's inspiring story and learn more about how we are making educational equity a reality. https://lnkd.in/gMRitwNZ - Support Our Cause: Consider supporting our mission by visiting our fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/gd3WsTtq - Join the Conversation: Share your thoughts on educational equity and how we can continue to break down barriers for under-resourced students. Thank you for joining us on this journey toward educational equity. Together, we can make a difference! Bryce Randall MBA Candidate The University of Chicago Booth School of Business

This MBA journey was difficult (deferring, applying, reapplying), but I firmly believe that what is meant for you won’t pass you by. But yes, it’s true; I am officially pursuing my MBA at Cornell University's Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management as a The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, Forté Foundation, and LunaCap Foundation Fellow with a full-tuition merit scholarship. As a first-generation Latina growing up in El Monte, CA, attending public schools, community college, and California State University, Fullerton, to becoming the first Director of Social Media Marketing at the The Recording Academy, my upbringing and career have prepared me for this next phase of life and career. This is my time, ?Sí se pudo! To Admit.me (Eric Allen and Wendy Catalina), you gave me tools to be a competitive MBA candidate, allowed me to build a community with those on the same journey as me and cement authentic friendships that will last a lifetime, thank you! To my recommenders, mentors, and advocates at the #RecordingAcademy, John Loken, Lea Kozin, Ryan Butler, and Rose Polidoro, you never said no to me and always said yes. You believed in me and my ability to be an MBA candidate at one of the top business schools in the world. I am forever grateful. Lindsay Williams, you played a pivotal role in helping me establish my career by giving me the opportunity to build my leadership and digital marketing skills. You helped me lay the foundation for a stellar resume. Thank you for always being a champion, advocate, and mentor—your support continues to mean the world to me. Danielle McColgan, you gave me the courage to continue this competitive journey. Thank you for your time, guidance, editing my essays up until the last minute of deadlines, and coaching me through this process. You’re my angel sent from heaven. To my friends, More Than Ready, Nafeez Amin (Smart with a Heart? by Sherpa Prep?) and the many individuals who guided me on the process of how to apply to top MBA programs, to those who answered my LinkedIn or text messages, said yes to a coffee chat, conducted mock interviews, and provided support through this rigorous process, thank you for taking the time to help me. If letting go of a dream you have has crossed your mind––don’t––even if the journey seems long, remember that "forward is a pace." Remind yourself that this is YOUR journey and not anyone else's. Keep going; your time is coming. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. And remember “no” is not an answer, it’s an “opportunity” Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in pursuing an MBA, I’m here to support and provide the resources that helped me achieve my dream. #Cornellian #LatinasWithMasters #MBAJourney
