Thousands of students in LA now have cleaner air in their classrooms thanks to the Clean Air Classrooms initiative, in partnership with The KINN. With wildfire smoke posing serious health risks—especially for kids—our team has worked to assemble and deliver Corsi-Rosenthal air filters to schools in need. A Corsi-Rosenthal Box is a simple, low-cost DIY air filter made from a box fan and HVAC filters, designed to effectively remove harmful fine particles (PM2.5) from the air. These filters provide a powerful defense against wildfire smoke in indoor spaces—without the high cost of commercial air purifiers. Thanks to our volunteers, we’ve built and distributed filters to classrooms, helping students breathe cleaner air. *But this issue isn’t going away.* Wildfire smoke will continue to impact schools and students, and we want to reach more classrooms that still need support.
