?? Welcoming Dennis Lee to the Small Biz Cares Board! ?? Excited to welcome Dennis Lee of Ahola Payroll & HR Solutions to our Board team! Dennis has been one of our best members and advocates over the years. Truly someone that lives our values of making a difference and doing good. Dennis first got involved with Small Biz Cares through volunteer events in 2021. After witnessing the positive impact that SBC has on the people of Central Ohio, he accepted the role of Ambassador in 2023. Since then, he has remained active in recruiting new businesses to our group. Over the last two years, he has hosted a 50/50 fundraiser in the fall and sends weekly emails to members of this group to raise awareness for our cause. He is committed to the mission of connecting, mobilizing, and inspiring small businesses in Central Ohio to create a lasting positive impact on our community. Further, he appreciates the friendships he has made through Small Biz Cares events. "It’s simple – my heart is aligned with the mission. I have networked with a lot of groups around Central Ohio, including other service-based organizations. Of those groups, Small Biz Cares is far and away the best at helping people. I think the model of Small Biz Cares is brilliant and I’d like to see it spread to cities beyond Columbus. There is so much potential for our membership to grow quickly. In my time as an Ambassador, I’ve spoken with a lot of businesses about SBC. Through those conversations, I’ve developed an understanding of what motivates people to get involved. As an Ambassador, I’m simply a messenger. Joel Pickering is a second-year graduate student at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. He is currently the President of Fisher Graduate Finance Association and Fisher Board Fellows. ? He is an Active Trader Desk Professional at J.P. Morgan Securities and lives in Hilliard with his wife and son. Stephen McEnery Vice President and part owner of MAC Construction Inc. (Ohio) a multi-generational family business with a 50-year legacy of building trust and transforming lives through commercial construction. His journey from overcoming personal challenges to becoming a leader in the construction industry has fueled his commitment to creating opportunities for others to thrive. Steve is dedicated to leveraging his experience in building strong teams and meaningful relationships to drive positive impact both within MAC Construction and the broader community.
