I've been following Small Data SF and I'm really excited that there's an up and coming movement that speaks to some of my personal philosophies: - data can be processed at far larger scales on our own laptops than we think - less *can* be more, and there needs to be more thought into the overall quality of data being used - a lot of data problems can't be fixed with Big Data solutions Columns is all about taking these advancements and not forgetting that human interfaces *also* should advance for true data literacy.
