Today, an EBC delegation led by President Philip van Nieuwenhuizen met barbara bonvissuto, Director for Construction, Machinery and #Standardisation at DG Grow. Interesting exchanges on the work ahead for a more competitive #construction sector, SME-friendly standards, and solutions to the #Housing challenges. The joint work of EBC and Small Business Standards (SBS) on a guide to accompany SMEs in implementing the new Construction Products Regulation was also discussed. EBC looks forward to further discussing the reality and priorities of our #SME and craft trades with the European Commission, including next week at the occassion of the High-Level Construction Forum. The #atlanTTic researcher and professor at the EE Telecomunicación - UVigo, Luis Anido, has been selected by the Blockstand.eu initiative as an external expert.?? ????#Blockstand aims to contribute to the standardization of blockchain technologies across various fields and promote the inclusion of European values and needs in international standards. Luis Anido's contribution will focus on developing proposals for the management of blockchain-based academic certifications that comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This compatibility represents a major technological challenge. ?? Shaping Guidelines for Digital Product Passports – Your Expertise Matters! ?? What should businesses consider when designing or procuring DPPs? The "Guidelines to Create a Digital Product Passport – the EU Project CircThread Experience" provides this critical answer. Once updated, the pre-standard will be freely available to support the DPP community, empowering businesses on their #DPP journey. ?? ?? This official CEN Workshop Agreement was developed in collaboration with 100 experts as part of the EU-funded CircThread Project EU in partnership with UNI (Italy’s national standardization body) and EcoWise Ltd (CIRPASS-2 pilot partner). ???
